You must be officially admitted to Clatsop Community College before your financial aid application can be processed and your eligibility for financial aid determined. All students receiving financial aid must be admitted to CCC by the end of the first week of the term.
You must apply for financial aid each academic year you wish to receive financial aid.
It is important that you submit your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as early as possible. Apply now for the 2023-24 year. Clatsop’s academic year begins with summer term and ends the following spring term. Campus-based financial aid is limited and is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. The date you apply and the date all outstanding requirements are submitted can affect the amount of your financial aid award.
Your FAFSA must be received and processed by the US Department of Education by no later than the last day of the academic year you are applying for. There are no exceptions to this deadline. It is important to note that, due to the length of time needed for the processing of aid, students who apply within 30 days of the last day of their enrollment period cannot be guaranteed delivery of their aid.
Suggested application deadlines:
Students who start the financial aid process by the above dates can expect a response from Clatsop Financial Aid within two weeks. Many students will need to provide additional information. By applying by the above dates CCC can have time to process your financial aid and provide a financial aid award including are types of financial aid you are eligible for.
