Teena Toyas Named OACA Official of the Year

The Oregon Athletic Coaches Association (OACA) named Teena Toyas, Clatsop Community College Physical Education Instructor and longtime sports official, a 2017 Official of the Year. The organization names two outstanding officials each year and awarded Toyas the honor on Saturday, May 20th at the Coach of the Year Banquet in Eugene, Oregon. The OACA select from nominees that exemplify the highest standards of sportsmanship, ethical conduct and moral character and carry the endorsement of the Oregon Athletic Officials Association.

CCC ROV Team Qualifies for International Competition

The Clatsop Community College Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) team will be heading to Long Beach, California in June to participate in the 2017 MATE international Remotely Operated Vehicle competition. CCC physics instructor, Pat Keefe, advises the student team made up of Sam Daire, Jennifer Jordan, Georges Oates Larsen, Sean Sullivan, and Haley Werst.
