CCC Foundation Raises Over $129,000 at Annual Auction

Approximately 200 guests joined the festivities in Clatsop Community College’s Patriot Hall to raise money for scholarships and programs bringing in over $129,000 for student support. The CCC Foundation auction and dinner featured silent and live auctions showcasing works of art provided by local and regional artists as well as multiple experience packages. The Special Appeal, an opportunity during the live auction for guests to make a direct gift towards scholarships, generated over $34,000 alone.

Rhonda Conrad, a CCC alum and manager of Lower Columbia Hospice, was guest speaker for the event and conveyed how grateful she was for scholarship support as she worked towards her nursing degree, “Scholarships are so much more than money, they’re opportunities. To everyone here who has, or whoever will, contribute to scholarships, it is with heartfelt gratitude that I say thank you. Your generosity provided possibilities that I will be forever grateful for.”

The CCC Foundation will award $140,000 in scholarships this year to CCC students and another $40,000 in program support to the college. Susan Bartlett, CCC Foundation chair, shared her appreciation for all who participated in the event, “The CCC Foundation is so thankful for the generous support of the community! Thank you for saying YES to a sponsorship, YES to an item donation and YES to attending the Education: A Forest of Opportunity Dinner and Auction. Because of you, we raised over $129,000! These funds will be used to support students through scholarships and to enhance college programs. We all benefit through successful students who lead directly to successful communities. We can’t thank you enough.”

The CCC Foundation would like to thank the event sponsors, including: Pacific Power, Toyota and Lum’s Auto Center, The Lehman Family Trust, Pat Lehman, Gerry Swenson, Arbor Care Tree Specialists, Columbia Memorial Hospital, Da Yang Seafood, Ferguson Wellman Capital Management, Fishhawk Fisheries, Knutsen Insurance, Lewis and Clark Timberlands / Greenwood Resources, Inc., Seaside Carousel Mall, Mike and Diane Somers, Teevin Bros., US Bank, Dave and Kathleen Zunkel, Bill & Margaret Antilla, Astoria Brewing Company, Dan & Susan Bartlett, Clatsop Community Bank, Clifton Larson Allen, Columbia Bank, Columbia River Bar Pilots, Cliff & Roxanne Fick, Sean Fitzpatrick & Anne Carpenter, Stanley & Darby Gott, Hampton Lumber Mills, Pudgy & Connie Hunt, Nicolle Landwehr, CFP®, Lawrence Lawrence & Queener, PC, LEKTRO, Inc., Dr. Michael S.
