Clatsop Community College Celebrates Graduates on June 13, 2025

Clatsop Community College is pleased to announce its 2025 Commencement Ceremony, scheduled to take place on Friday, June 13th at 5:30 p.m. in Patriot Hall on the Lexington Campus in Astoria. This year, over 80 CCC graduates and 17 GED students will be honored for their academic achievements and commitment to higher education.

“We are so proud to honor the hard work and achievements of our graduates as they continue on their path to becoming leaders, innovators, and professionals.” stated CCC President Jarrod Hogue.

The ceremony will feature speeches from distinguished speakers, including Associated Student Government President Josie Kero, and GED speaker Moe Than. Science Instructor Nichole Warwick has been selected as this year’s Faculty Marshal and the honor of being named Student Marshals went to graduating students Emily Bates and Eliza Glasson. Both Faculty Marshal Warwick and Student Marshal Bates will address those gathered for the commencement ceremony and Student Marshal Glasson will lead the processional of the student body into the commencement ceremony.

CCC is also honored to welcome McAndrew Burns, Executive Director of the Clatsop County Historical Society, as the commencement guest speaker. Mac is married to his wife Rene’ and they have raised their children Rachel and Donovan in Astoria.  Both kids are graduates of Clatsop Community College.

“We’re pleased to have Mac join us as this year’s speaker,” said President Hogue. “His perspective as a local leader and historian offers a meaningful connection to our college community.”
