Life Transitions Program
The Life Transitions (LIT) program is designed to support students as they complete or continue their education. The LIT program provides a trauma-sensitive environment encouraging students to develop greater self-awareness about their educational goals, enhance self-esteem, overcome personal barriers, and establish clear career directions.

- Two cost free courses each bearing three elective credits.

Course Descriptions:
Human Development 160 (HD 160): Overcoming Barriers- A Holistic Approach to Student Success, 3 credits. Students will be engaged in the learning process by developing transferable academic skills, while creating a cohort environment with other students, and enhancing knowledge about the college environment. As a cohort, students will learn about Federal Financial Aid, go through the college admissions process, and meet other college support services representatives. Offered Fall, Winter and Spring terms.
Human Development 202 (HD 202): Life Transitions, 3 credits. Students focus on self-exploration and development of life-planning skills. By analyzing predictable life transitions, students develop and learn how to integrate skills in goal setting, decision making, and plan implementation for personal growth and academic/career planning. Offered Fall, Winter and Spring terms.
