ABE / GED® / ESL
We offer instruction for students who wish to obtain their GED®, learn skills to prepare for careers or higher education, or to improve basic math, reading or English language skills.
Admissions
The admissions office works virtually and in-person depending on the day and off-campus recruitment events. Generally there is someone in the office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. If you would like to meet in-person please call first to ensure someone is available or schedule an appointment. Appointments can be scheduled via Appointlet for phone, zoom, or in-person.
Advising
Academic advisors can help you pick the right classes for next term and beyond. They can make sure you are on track for graduation and discuss all your academic questions from transferring through honors and more.
Each student has an academic advisor. You can find yours on your student portal.

Counseling Center
The Counseling Center at Clatsop Community College provides remote counseling services by zoom or phone. Sessions are available to students who may be experiencing anxiety and/or depression-related symptoms and would like to speak with a mental health counselor. The counseling sessions are provided for students at no cost.

Financial Aid & Scholarships
CCC’s Financial Aid Office works with all types of programs to help pay for attending CCC. We can answer questions about applying for and receiving funding from CCC scholarships, Oregon Promise, Pell Grant, Veterans Benefits, student loans and other forms of financial aid.
Help can be provided with completing the FAFSA or ORSAA.

Lives in Transition
The Lives In Transition (LIT) program is comprised of two, three-credit classes at NO COST for students. The class content explores various academic options and establishes successful college study skills. The course material revolves around common personal experiences that often hinder academic success, while simultaneously increasing self-awareness and self-esteem. The LIT program is grounded in trauma-sensitive learning and encourages students to further their understanding of educational goals and career directions. For more information, please review the CCC Catalog descriptions of the two courses: HD160 – Overcoming Barriers: A Holistic Approach to Student Success, and HD202 – Life Transitions. A Spanish language companion program, Transitions Costa, is offered as needed (HD96 and HD98).
The LIT Resource Room (Alder Hall, 2ndfloor) provides a warm and inviting area for students to relax, study, connect with others. Academic Advising is available, as well. For additional information, please contact the Lives in Transition program at (503) 338-2377 or by email (see below).
Registrar
The Registrar’s Office provides the following services to our student and community members: registering for classes, performing transcript evaluation, receiving payments, awarding degrees and certificates, processing grades, performing enrollment and other academic record verification. It also processes release of information forms and non-disclosure forms along with general information.

Student Access Services
Student Access Services works with students with disabilities and the campus community to help ensure equal access to CCC’s educational and community programs.

TRIO Student Support Services (SSS)
We are a federally funded program serving first generation, low income or disabled students to become strong successful students at Clatsop, leading to graduation and possible transfer to a university. We focus on study strategies, time management, financial aid, scholarships and navigating transferring to a university.
TRIO is open for in person services Monday-Thurs from 8-5pm, Fridays we are available virtually. See advisor schedules for individual availability.

First Stop / Welcome Center
The First Stop, located in the first floor of Columbia Hall, provides the following services to our student and community members: registering for classes, receiving payments, performing enrollment and other academic record verification, release of information, non-disclosure, along with general information. The First Stop is open 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. It is closed when the College is closed.
