Retail Management @ Clatsop CC

From Astoria's Sunday Market to national chains, retail businesses are one of the largest employers in our region. Successful retailers need trained and experienced mangers to oversee operations and help grow the business. Students in Clatsop Community College's retail management certificate programs learn a broad range of skills to begin or advance their career in retail business. In addition to studying about pricing and costs, our students learn to communicate more effectively, use technology, manage employees and market their business.

Clatsop Community College offers three levels of retail management certificate, and these certificates build on each other as your managerial responsibilities grow. Please talk to your employer about your interest in the retail management program. Employers want to develop good employees and they may be able to help you attend school.

Average starting wages for retail supervisors in our region range from $11.50-20.50.
