Maintaining the health of our forests is essential for the Oregon economy. Increasing regulation and technological change have made forestry more complex. A four-year degree in forestry or biology is needed for many careers in the industry, and students who plan to attend a four-year college or university to study forestry can begin their academic career at Clatsop Community College. Our students have access to excellent faculty, small class sizes and more affordable tuition that four-year schools cannot match.

Clatsop Community College’s biology, chemistry and mathematics classes are part of a forestry focused Associate of Arts, Oregon Transfer (AAOT) degree that prepares students to transfer to a four-year school. Further, students can pursue dual enrollment with Oregon State University and take upper level classes online while they are at Clatsop. Your advisor will help you select classes that will begin your academic career in forestry.
