CCC’s Puerta de Oportunidades Fosters Success

A grant from the State of Oregon Department of Community Colleges and Workforce Development enabled Clatsop Community College to launch the Puerta de Oportunidades program in 2015 to serve low-income, first-generation or disabled students. The one-year program designed to foster student success supported intensive academic advising, career guidance, scholarship and transfer planning assistance, technology support and tutoring.

This investment in student success is already demonstrating results.

Awards Recognize College SBDC

On Tuesday May 5 the Clatsop Community College (CCC) Small Business Development Center (SBDC) received the “SBDC Excellence and Innovation Award,” presented each year by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA)to an outstanding SBDC for providing exceptional value to small businesses, and advancing program delivery and management through innovation.

CCC to Release 2015 Rain Magazine

Clatsop Community College invites the community to celebrate the release of the 2015 edition of Rain Magazine at a free public reading and reception, Friday, May 29 from 6:00pm to 8:30pm in the Towler Hall  3rd floor Commons, 1660 Lexington Avenue, Astoria. Gather at 5:30pm for an author meet-and-greet and reading signup before the program begins.

Powerful Concert Promotes Diversity, Inclusion & Empowerment

Award-winning singer-songwriter Summer Osborne, along with Sarah McCracken, present their Left Coast Tour of Epic – Mind Blowing – Awesomeness Concert, Wednesday, May 13, 7:00pm, at the CCC Performing Arts Center, 16th & Franklin, Astoria. Suggested donation at the door is $8 - $15.

CCC Library Presents - - Mutts and Moonshine

Clatsop Community College Library, Friends of the College Library, and Clatsop Animal Assistance invite the community to join us for a unique happy hour featuring some doggie affection, tasty treats, and cool drinks. Animal and book lovers will find some common ground at this first-time spring event. Join us in the CCC Dora Badollet Library, Thursday, May 7 from 4:00pm - 6:00pm before heading to the Maori Art Exhibit at the CCC Art Center Gallery.
