College as an Option for Working Adults

The Admissions Office at Clatsop Community College presents a free one-hour information session for adults considering returning to college full-time, or interested in taking a few credit classes to improve their job skills, Wednesday, March 11, 6:00 – 7:00 P.M.

Celebrate Albert Einstein’s Birthday with a Slice of Pi!

Clatsop Community College (CCC) will celebrate notable physicist Albert Einstein’s birthday and the mystery of the mathematical constant Pi (π) on Saturday, March 14th at CCC’s Lexington Ave. Campus (Patriot Hall Gym) from 1:59 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Pi is everywhere around us; it is the ratio of any circle’s circumference to the length of its diameter. The celebration mimics the first eight digits of Pi, which are 3.1415926. Thus, Pi Day is on Saturday, March 14th (3.14), beginning at 1:59 p.m. (159) and continuing to (2) 6 p.m. (6).

The Clothesline Project: Help End Gender Violence

Clatsop Community College invites the community to share in breaking the silence around gender violence.  CCC will host the Clatsop Clothesline Project kick-off event Wednesday March 4, 2015, 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. in the Towler Hall 3rd Floor Commons, 1660 Lexington Avenue, Astoria. The Clatsop Clothesline Project is part of an international effort to raise awareness about violence against women and to bring an end to gender violence.

Spring Term Registration Opens March 4

Registration for Spring Term classes at Clatsop Community College opens to all admitted students on March 4. Classes begin March 30.

Latino Students Explore Opportunities at CCC

On February 20, approximately 25 Latino high school students from Astoria and Seaside High Schools visited the Clatsop Community College campus to explore opportunities for continuing their education.

The Power of Song with Deac Guidi and Nancy Cook

Clatsop Community College and the Fort George Brewery announce the February program of the 2014/2015 Ales & Ideas education series, Thursday, February 26 at 7pm in the Fort George Lovell Showroom.   Door opens with musical entertainment at 6pm.  Seating is limited; arrive early to assure a place.
