College Board Welcomes New Member and Updates Appointments

The Clatsop Community College Board of Directors conducted its first meeting of the new academic year on July 14. The meeting began with those starting new terms taking the oath of office. Anne Teaford-Cantor joins the board as a new member. Karen Burke, Robert Duehmig, Tessa Scheller and Esther Moberg were all elected to new terms and continue their service. Rosemary Baker-Monaghan and Karen Burke were re-elected chair and vice chair.

CCC Upward Bound Presents Shakespeare 'n' Love

Local high school students from the Clatsop Community College Upward Bound Summer Academy will be presenting Shakespeare 'n' Love, a night of comedic scenes by William Shakespeare. The free performance will be hosted by the Astor Street Opry Company (ASOC) on Tuesday, July 28th at 7:30 p.m. ASOC is located at 129 West Bond Street in Astoria. Admission is free, and is on a first-come basis. Doors open at 7pm for the 7:30 show. Donations are welcome and will benefit the Astor Street Opry Company building fund.

2015 Tribute to the Columbia River Conference

A Tribute to the Columbia River Conference:  July 17-July 18

Clatsop Community College will host its second annual ‘A Tribute to the Columbia River Conference’ on Friday evening July 17 from 7p.m. to 9p.m. and Saturday morning July 18 from 9a.m. to 11a.m. in its Columbia Hall Community Room (Columbia 219) on the CCC main campus in Astoria.

CCC Spring Term 2015 Academic Honors List

Clatsop Community College is proud to announce that the following students have been recognized for their superior academic achievement during Spring Term 2015. The Dean's List recognizes students completing 12 or more graded credits and achieving a grade point average (GPA) of 3.75 to 4.00.  Honor Roll status recognizes students completing 12 or more graded credits and achieving a GPA of 3.50 to 3.74. CCC congratulates each of these students!

CCC Upward Bound Summer Academy Kicks Off

Clatsop Community College kicked off its 23rd Annual Upward Bound Summer Academy (UBSA) on Monday, June 22nd, 2015. The academy continues through July 30th. Classes and project groups are conducted Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. This federally funded educational outreach program motivates and supports high school students in preparing for college.  The Upward Bound Program currently serves 71 area high school students from Astoria, Seaside and Warrenton.

Expanding Opportunities at CCC

Clatsop Community College will add new educational opportunities beginning in fall 2015. Program details will be available with release of the 2015/2016 academic catalog.

Share your Memories of Patriot Hall

Clatsop Community College invites the community to the groundbreaking for the “new” Patriot Hall, Saturday, June 13, 11am-1pm. Tour Patriot Hall and reminisce with friends and family. The ceremony will begin at 11:30 in Patriot Hall. A complimentary lunch will be served following the ceremony at approximately noon.
