2009 RAIN Magazine Public Reading and Reception

Clatsop Community College (CCC) is pleased to host the annual RAIN Magazine Public Reading and Reception Thursday, May 28th at 7:00 p.m. at the CCC Art Center Gallery. Complimentary copies of the 2009 Hope Edition will be available at that time. A number of the magazine’s contributors will read from the magazine. This is a wonderful opportunity to see the North Coast literati in action. Original artwork will be displayed, and refreshments will be served courtesy of The Blue Scorcher Café and Bakery and Coffee Girl.

RAIN 2009 features the writing of Vincent Reynolds, Claudia Harper, Patrick Overton, Jacqui Horton, James Dott, Blaine R. Hammond, Patty Hardin, Judith Woodward, Susan Firghil Park, Anne Phillips, Sarah Bardy, Sydney Morrison, Sunny Cook, Dennis Warren, Scott T. Starbuck, Flroence Sage, Tricia Gates Brown, Kim Hazel, John Joseph, Mariah Manners, Donna Quinn, Robert Michael Pyle, Elizabeth Stricklin, and many more. This year's artwork includes work by Noel Thomas, Nathan Sawaya, Dylan Aringdale, Kristin Shauck, Jane Means, Stan Pine, Mary Tanguay Webb, Penny Treat, Tim Liddiard, LaRee Johnson, Charles Hillestad, Rosetta Hurley, Jeffrey Heinzman, and others. Please come help celebrate this forty-first edition of RAIN Magazine. Or look for the magazine on campus and at bookstores, coffee shops and other supporters throughout the Coast. First copy is FREE, but donations are always welcome and needed. The magazine is published through the generous support of CCC plus business and individual patrons.
