The Clatsop Community College Writing Center is a free tutoring service for our students. We work with students to improve their writing skills in any subject area, at any stage of the writing process. We are available Monday through Thursday during the summer term.
Our goal is to help you become a better writer.
We offer students one-to-one help with any type of writing project:
- Research Papers
- Works Cited/Annotated Bibliographies
Tutoring schedule for fall term, starting Monday, September 27th.
Tutoring will be offered as a remote service in the spring. When regular in-person classes resume in the fall, scheduled appointments and drop-in tutoring will be available. Drop-in tutoring is ideal for students seeking feedback as they work through the writing process. Students with a paper that is longer than three pages, or who have complex questions, should schedule a longer session.
The Writing Center is located on the third floor of the Library in the Learning Commons.
Clatsop Community College offers FREE tutoring to all of our students in all subjects.
How do I sign up? Sign-up Sheets are Now Online.
Sign-up sheets requesting a Tutor are available from the Tutoring Center, here, or via email (firstname.lastname@example.org). Complete the form and email it back to Gad.
You will be contacted when a Tutor is assigned.
What services are available?
Tutoring is available in all subjects, both long- and short-term. Tutoring generally occurs in the Tutoring Center, however, in cases of special needs such as lab classes, other arrangements can be made.
What do I need to do to prepare?
Do not expect your tutor to do your homework, write an essay, or complete an assignment. Do your work first, to the best of your ability, and the tutor will then help you with it.
