Upward Bound is excited to introduce our new project!
Alt-E/STEM : Solar Power & Alternative Energy
available to UB students, 9th-12th grade, on alternating Saturdays
Students will learn about the wide variety of alternative energy (Alt-E) sources and systems available to power our lives. Green jobs are growing, and design and engineering skills are in high demand. This program is meant to be a starting point in understanding how energy is produced, stored, and delivered to people
This program is designed for students without any prior knowledge of basic engineering concepts and there are no prerequisite math or physics classes required to take and excel in this program.
Students are encouraged to attend all Saturday Workshops, but we understand if you can only attend some. Upward Bound provides transportation to and from each high school to Clatsop Community College on the days of the workshops and lunch will be provided.
These dates are scheduled for 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM
March 23 is the first weekend of spring break so we are NOT holding a workshop on this date
These dates are scheduled for 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM
