Lucien Swerdloff, Historic Preservation & CADD
Teaching at CCC provides an opportunity to engage students from different backgrounds with various experiences in the process of learning new skills and developing awareness.
The subjects of Historic Preservation, Computer Aided Design, and Graphics are all involved with design: the creative act of developing solutions to problems. Many of my classes engage students through hands-on project-based activities. These programs provide unique opportunities to study architecture, traditional building crafts, restoration techniques, materials and methods, drawing, documentation and historic research.
Working with students as they endeavor through the process, develop skills and incorporate ideas to complete projects is a remarkable experience.
