CCC students and their families along with college faculty and staff are invited to enjoy an evening at Sunset Beach (turn left at the beach access) on Friday\, June 7th from 5:30-8 p.m. S’mores packets provided by the Associated Student Government\, a warm bonfire\, and some beach fun with prizes are included . Let’s close our 65th anniversary year with a great send off. \n\n\n\nBring your own chair or beach blankets. Water will be provided.  \n\n\n\n(We plan to hold this event weather permitting. An announcement will be made if rain cancels the event.)

DESCRIPTION:Join students\, employees and community for a few volunteer hours of sprucing up the Lexington campus. Grab your garden gloves and any small garden tools you would like to bring to help CCC weed and clean up the landscaped spaces on campus to make sure the campus is beautiful for graduation day. \n\n\n\nFrom noon to 1 p.m.\, Northwest Natural will be hosting a free hotdog cookout for participants in the upper parking lot. DESCRIPTION:Join Clatsop Community College and Fort George Brewery for the next Ales & Ideas Lecture on Thursday\, May 2nd\, 2024 at 7p.m. featuring author Randall Sullivan. \n\n\n\nRandall combines maritime history\, adventure journalism\, and memoir\, bringing alive the history—and present—of one of the most notorious stretches of water in the world\, the Columbia River Bar. Located off the coast of Oregon\, the Columbia River flows into the Pacific Ocean and forms the Columbia River Bar: a watery collusion so turbulent and deadly that it’s nicknamed the Graveyard of the Pacific. The deadly history did not deter Randall\, who endeavors to cross the bar with a friend in a two-man kayak\, just shy of their seventieth birthdays. \n\n\n\n Doors open at the Lovell Showroom at 6 p.m.\, with food\, ales\, and other beverages available; no purchase necessary.
