Doris is passionate about training the next generation of nurses and other healthcare workers in order to strengthen the communities we serve and our nation. Her philosophy of servant leadership comes from her aspiration to daily live the Golden Rule: Love God completely and serve others.

Doris is the Director of Clatsop Community College's Nursing and Allied Health Programs. She has many years of experience in various nursing positions, including med-surg, critical care, neuro intensive care, progressive care, post anesthesia care, parish nursing, nursing education and nursing program administration. Prior to her appointment as Director at Clatsop, Doris filled a variety of nursing roles over her 17 years at Columbia Gorge Community College—clinical instructor, skills lab coordinator, course lead faculty and, for 11 years, Nursing and Health Occupations director/dean. She assumed her role as director at Clatsop summer 2019.

Doris and her husband Wes have 4 children and 4 grandchildren.
