CCC Faculty Present Papers at Constitution Day Forum

Clatsop Community College invites students and faculty to join in celebrating Constitution Day.

Several CCC faculty members will present on the following topics, to be followed by discussion:

  • Martha Martinez, Instructor of Spanish and Humanities, “The Dream Act and Immigration Reform.”
  • Patrick Kane, Instructor of History, “The Historical Relevance of the Fourteenth Amendment to the Contemporary Political Crisis.”

The Constitution Day Forum will take place Friday, September 30; CCC Columbia Hall Room 219, 1651 Lexington Avenue, Astoria; 12pm-1pm.

Constitution Day is traditionally celebrated on September 17. It commemorates the formation and signing of the Constitution on September 17, 1787. CCC’s celebration is delayed this year until after the start of fall quarter classes to allow student participation.
