Breton and French Traditional Music Group, Mistral, in Concert at PAC

Introducing Mistral from Portland, Oregon on Saturday, November 6th at 7:30 p.m. at the Clatsop Community College Performing Arts Center (PAC).

Mistral presents the traditional music of Brittany, the rugged, coastal province of France. Playing traditional, acoustic instruments, Mistral delights and transports its audiences with the dance music of this Celtic land. Adding old English songs of fishermen and the pleasures and perils of life at sea, Mistral seeks to connect us to the timelessness of struggle and the honor found in honest work. Lovers of Irish and Scottish music will find much to enjoy in Mistral's sound, with new surprises as they sing in French and carry you away with the rhythms of Breton dance. So put on your dancing shoes and get ready to have a good time at the PAC! Mistral has just completed their first, locally produced album, Promontory. Vive les Marins!

Tickets are $10.00 and can be purchased in advance at Bach & Rock or at the PAC starting at 7:00 p.m. that evening. The PAC is ADA accessible. Please contact Josef Gault at 503-338-5735 for more information.

Clatsop Community College is an affirmative action, equal opportunity institution.
