On February 13th, at 3:00 p.m., violin virtuoso and composer Kim Angelis will perform in concert at the Clatsop Community College Performing Arts Center, at 16th and Franklin, in Astoria.
The February 13th concert will celebrate Angelis' first CD to be released in six years. Accompanying Angelis will be her husband, Josef Gault on gypsy guitar, local piano favorite Debbie Loyd and Los Angeles-based percussionist Ramon Yslas, who has performed with super stars Christina Aguilera and Madonna.
For the first time ever, "Romancing The PAC" will include a very exciting opening act, The Gothard Sisters. The sisters (Greta, 24 Willow, 21 and Solana, 15) are three violinists, musicians and dancers from the Seattle area. The girls claim that they were inspired to start playing the violin because of the numerous hours they spent dancing around in the living room to recordings by Kim Angelis when they were little! In addition to rigorous violin training, the three sisters have excelled at Irish Dancing, competing at the Irish Dance World Championships (held in the UK).
