Psychology is a diverse field with applications in many areas. In addition to working with individuals to understand their cognitive functioning, psychologists work with businesses to maximize the potential of their employees and build more effective teams. They can also work on refining the design of products to better reflect how the user experiences technology.

Students at Clatsop Community College interested in psychology can explore the fundamentals of thought, behavior, communication and knowledge development in small seminar classes with excellent faculty. An Associates of Arts, Oregon Transfer (AAOT) degree is a first step in a career in the study of psychology. Your advisor can help you select courses that meet the requirements of the AAOT and the four-year institution to which you intend to transfer.
