Chemistry

A transfer degree in chemistry opens possibilities in Oregon’s growing high-technology sector. From engineering to manufacturing, chemists are in demand across the state. Students interested in chemistry take advantage of Clatsop’s small class sizes and accessible faculty.

Clatsop offers two levels of chemistry to students, and those seeking an Associates of Arts, Oregon Transfer (AAOT) degree in chemistry should meet with their advisor to ensure that they are taking the correct series of classes. Like all sciences, chemistry requires a strong foundation in math, and the AAOT will need to be tailored to fit your goals. Students interested in chemistry should also consider a second year of transfer level science at Clatsop, and classes like Technical Report Writing. Your advisor can help you research the requirements of the school where you plan to transfer and design an AAOT that meets their requirements.
