Registration for more than 350 Clatsop Community College winter term classes begins 8:00 a.m., Monday, Nov. 29 and continues through Friday, Jan. 7.
The first day of class for the winter term is Jan. 4. Although the college will be closed Dec. 24-Jan. 3, online registration is available 24-hours a day.
A full list of winter term classes may be viewed online at www.clatsopcc.edu. This upcoming term includes nearly 20 classes offered after 5 p.m.
“Convincing someone that education is critical isn’t too hard given the economy,” said Chris Ousley, Associate Dean of Enrollment Management. “The difficulty for many students is finding the time for classes. Having so many classes provides a lot of opportunities to learn, but we realize working adults in our community can’t always take classes offered between eight and five. For these students, night may be the only time they can attend, and they often are surprised by the number of different classes available after five.”
Also, the college’s new website makes it easier for working students, enabling students to register and pay for classes online through the MyCCC link. “For someone who lives farther away or works during the day, registering on campus may be difficult,” Ousley added. “Now, our students can register online anytime.”

Noncredit classes also are listed in the Education for Life and Workforce Training Winter 2011 printed schedule available soon in your mail and at the main (1653 Jerome Ave., Astoria) and South County (1455 N. Roosevelt, Seaside) campuses.
