What strategies do good readers use to comprehend what they are reading? We will discuss the fundamental elements of a reading lesson, geared towards adult learners. Participants will learn basic strategies to engender reading comprehension during a “Recipe for Reading” workshop. Tutors will learn about Guided Reading techniques that can help students begin to monitor themselves as they read.
