RAIN Magazine 2017 Reading and Reception

Clatsop Community College invites the community to celebrate the release of the 2017 edition of RAIN Magazine at a free public reading and reception, Wednesday, June 14 from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. in the Royal Nebeker Art Gallery at the Art Center on CCC’s Lexington campus. This will be the magazine’s 48th Edition.

The CCC Art Center is at 1799 Lexington Avenue in Astoria, Oregon. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for an author meet-and-greet and reading signup before the program begins.

Many contributors will be on hand to read excerpts from their works, and original artwork from the magazine will be on display. Light refreshments will be served, and copies of this limited edition Clatsop Community College publication will be available to the public for a suggested donation of $10. 

This year’s RAIN Magazine includes new writing from Robert Michael Pyle, Karin Temple, Wayne Downing, Florence Sage, Jim Dott, John Ciminello, Melissa Lahti, Kathy Hightower, Autumn Buckridge, Cameron Pierce, Gail Henrikson, Alyssa Graybeal, and many more. Artwork by Terry Shumaker, Bill Dodge, Roger Hayes, Kim Rose-Adams, Vicki Lawson, Logan Tausch, Lisa Ackerman, Martha Clarkson, and many others will be included, much of it in glorious color. This year’s cover features a painting by Clatsop Community College art student and RAIN staff member Kelsi Leer.
