The Clatsop Community College Associated Student Government teamed up with the Clatsop County Head Start program to collect toys for the local program’s kids in an annual toy drive.
Three festive trees—decorated with lights and little gold star ornaments of participating Head Start children—were displayed in the CCC Student Services Center and Columbia Hall. Each star represented a child with their age and gender listed. The gold stars were taken and replaced with various toys reflecting the information listed on each star.
The toy drive provides gifts to children between the ages of three and five who attend Clatsop County Head Start programs. The children received the gifts at the Head Start Christmas party on Wednesday.
Clatsop Community College is an affirmative action, equal opportunity institution.
