Community Invited to CCC Student Led Sports Festival for Charity

Join Clatsop Community College’s Leadership Class students at the new Patriot Hall on campus for a charity drive and a week of intramural athletics! The festivities kick off on Tuesday, November 28 and continue to December 1, with activities each evening from 6-8pm. All activities are open to the public, ages 16 and up (parental guardians must sign liability form for participants 16-17 years old).

Suggested donation for entry is $2 or one donated item. The classes will be working with the local Food Bank, Clatsop Community Action, the Warming Center, and Head Start to collect items (canned food, clothing (new coats, jeans, underwear, socks, or blankets), or a new toy for a child age 3-5) to donate. Participants will also be entered to win prizes in a raffle.

This festival is a combined effort of the college’s four Leadership classes, providing students with the opportunity to learn leadership skills and participate in a service-learning project.

Schedule of Activities

Tuesday, November 28: Dodgeball

Wednesday, November 29: Basketball

Thursday, November 30: Indoor Soccer

Friday, December 1: Capture the Flag
