College Offers Free and Low-Cost Learning Opportunities - ESL and GED Classes Available

Clatsop Community College will offer free and low-cost adult education and family literacy classes at its South County Center, 1455 N Roosevelt, Seaside, beginning the week of September 26, 2011.

Free ESL (English as a Second Language) classes are scheduled Mondays and Tuesdays, 3:00pm to 6:00pm. GED classes are scheduled Wednesdays and Thursdays, 4:30pm to 8:30pm. A small one-time fee for GED classes can be waived if students find they cannot pay.

In addition, free literacy services are available in the Seaside/Cannon Beach area through the College’s Volunteer Literacy Tutor Program These services are designed for people wanting to upgrade their basic reading, writing and math skills or to learn English.
