CCC Students Recognized for Outstanding Research Papers

On May 2nd, faculty, staff and students gathered in the CCC Library commons for a reception to recognize the winners of the Information Literacy Competition. Each spring at Clatsop Community College, students are invited to submit their best research papers to be entered into an Information Literacy competition with scholarship prizes. Research papers are submitted to the CCC Library Director who then evaluates the papers using information literacy criteria. Award funds for this competition are raised through library coffee sales and through the generosity of Columbia River Coffee Roasters. This is the sixth year of the Library’s Information Literacy Prize.

The winners for the 2017-18 academic year are Ethan Huls, Jeremy Boutin, Melissa Gardner, Leland Wiedeman, Freeman Grant, and Alec Griffiths.
