In response to the increasing local and regional need for trained childcare workers, Clatsop Community College has enhanced and expanded its program offerings. The existing one-year certificate program curriculum has been updated to more completely meet the requirements for childcare workers and to prepare students to pursue further studies in elementary education or family studies. The College also added a two-year AAS degree program to prepare students for employment as instructional assistances in ECE venues and primary grades and as preschool teachers. Both program changes were approved by the CCC board on 6/14/11 and will begin in September, pending state approval.
Clatsop Community College is an affirmative action, equal opportunity institution.
