Ales & Ideas presents Word Play: An Evening of Performance Poetry with Nancy Cook & Dave Densmore

Clatsop Community College and the Fort George Brewery are pleased to announce the second public event in the Ales & Ideas lecture series featuring free multimedia presentations by members of the CCC faculty and staff at the Fort George Lovell Building Showroom, 426 14th Street, Astoria.  Thursday, October 25th, CCC Writing Instructor and poet Nancy Cook will share the stage with special guest poet and CCC alumnus Dave Densmore.

Together they will present an evening of lively Word Play. Both poets are regular performers at the popular Astoria Fisher Poets Gathering, but for this stage, the content is wide open.  Come experience two local contemporary poets making their unique marks on an ancient oral tradition.  Doors open at 6:00 pm; event begins at 7:00pm.  Seasonal beers on tap, food and other beverages are available for purchase.  Minors are welcome.  Join Dave, Nancy and others for an entertaining evening in a cozy community setting.
