RAIN Magazine Celebrates Diversity; Public Reading and Reception at Clatsop Community College
The Arts & Letters Department at Clatsop Community College (CCC) is pleased to announce the release of the 2010 RAIN Magazine Diversity Edition. The College will host a Public Reading and Reception at the CCC Art Center Gallery on Thursday, June 3rd at 6:00 p.m. Contributors will read from their work; original artwork will be displayed, and complimentary copies of the magazine will be available at that time.
This year's magazine features an impressive collection of local and regional writers including Brian Doyle, Robert Michael Pyle, Julie Brown, Dave Densmore, Tami Lynn Kent, Jane Herrold, Jan Bono, Pattra Monroe, Laura Tattoo, Vincent Reynolds, Tami Lynn Kent, Anne Phillips, Stephanie Wise, Dennis Warren, John Miller, Terry Shumaker, Reba Owen, Barbara Stoffer, Bruce Dustin, Perry Callas, John Joseph, Patty Hardin, Nancy Slavin, Donna Quinn, Kimberly Hazel, John Ciminello, Maya Trisil and more. This year's art includes work by Thea Linnaea Pyle, Dawn Stevick, Jane Herrold, Deborah Starr, Tambi Pernula, Andrew Cier, Jamie Boyd, Lisa Ackerman, Kristin Shauck, Chuck Hillestad, Alana Darcher, Paul Titus, Annette Butler, Anna Lee Larimore, Don Nisbett, David Lee Myer, Mandi Alvord and more. CCC students featured in this year's edition include Michael Duncan, Wren Andre, Belen Sorenson, Josh Conklin, Lindsey St.Clair, Jeremiah Scott, Micah Dugan, Allison Greeley, Ashley Ybarra, Shawna Downes, Audrey Williams, Alexis Johnson, Diane Rhoads and others. This year's cover art is by Vancouver painter Anne John (see excerpt attached).
