Clatsop Community College receives trees; completes remaining tree wells in front of Columbia Hall

Last month, five red, Japanese Bloodgood Maples were planted in the tree wells to the east of the Lexington Avenue entrance of CCC’s new Columbia Hall. Of those trees, three were donated through Pacific Power. Linda Brim of Brim’s Farm & Garden donated the other two to fill the remaining tree wells on the east side of the building.

Since then, an anonymous donor has generously donated the five trees needed to fill the remaining wells to the west of Columbia Hall’s north entrance. At present, four of the five trees have been planted. There is a power pole currently occupying one of the tree wells, and it will be removed and a tree will take its place later this summer. CCC is very grateful to the generous donor who made these trees possible.

Clatsop Community College is an affirmative action, equal opportunity institution.

Trees in front of columbia Hall

Donated trees and lavender plants are seen in front of Columbia Hall’s north entrance. Later in the summer, a fifth tree will be planted after the removal of the power pole occupying one of the tree wells. An anonymous donor generously donated the five trees to the College this month.
