CCC Volunteer Literacy Tutors Honored For Their Service
On Tuesday, November 10th, 2009 several volunteers with the Clatsop Community College Volunteer Literacy Tutor program were honored with a lunch for their many hours of volunteer service with students learning English or looking to upgrade their reading and writing skills.
“It’s an honor to work with people who understand the value of improved literacy to change lives. They inspire me to work harder because of their dedication, compassion, and patience,” says Eileen Purcell, CCC’s Outreach Literacy Tutor Coordinator.
