Financial Aid and Scholarships Available To CCC Students For Fall 2009

Are you currently a student or thinking about becoming a student and wondering where you will find the money to go to college? Your first step is to file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The quickest way to apply is on line using FAFSA on the Web at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Financial aid offices use information from the FAFSA to determine if you are eligible for different types of student aid, such as grants, loans and work-study to assist you in paying for your educational costs. It is important to apply early and NOW is the time to apply for the 2009-2010 academic year. Don’t delay!

In addition to financial aid, CCC offers internal scholarships that will be available for students attending CCC Fall Term of 2009. In order to receive CCC internal scholarships, students need to be admitted and degree-seeking students. Many of these scholarships are need-based, however, so students must also have completed their FAFSA applications to be eligible. Information for these scholarships will not be posted until April 1st, 2009.

The CCC internal scholarship period opens April 1, 2009 at 9:00 a.m., and closes April 24, 2009 at 5:00 p.m.

Additionally, CCC maintains a list of updated external scholarships that are available in a wide assortment of topics. Financial aid and scholarship information including available scholarships (internal and external), eligibility, qualifications and deadlines are available at CCC’s website: www.clatsopcc.edu.

The Financial Aid office is located at CCC’s main campus in Astoria, inside the Student Services Center and is open Monday—Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Contact the Financial Aid Office at 503-338-2322. The Student Services Center is ADA Accessible.
