Clatsop Community College Hosts NW Regional High School Mathematics Competition
Local high school students attended Clatsop Community College on April 16th, 2009 for the annual NW Regional High School Mathematics Competition. This year’s winners are as follows:
Pre-Algebra:
First – Nate Ferrell, Warrenton HS
Second – Kimberly Melton, Warrenton HS
Third – Brandyn Aberle, Rainier HS
Fourth – Kevin Engstrom, Rainier HS
Fifth – Wayne Mundo, Warrenton HS
Algebra I:
First – Buddy Pickering, Rainier HS
Second – William Rose, Rainier HS
Third – Carolyn Gaydos, Astoria HS
Fourth – Austin Inman, Rainier HS

The following students also qualify to participate in the OIMT (Oregon Invitational Mathematics Tournament) to be held Saturday, May 9th at the University of Oregon.
