Standard Admission Process

Thanks for your interest in Clatsop Community College. Applying for admissions is quick and easy. High school graduates or non high school graduates 18 years or older are eligible for admissions to Clatsop Community College.

Follow the admissions steps below to get started.

  1. Complete the Admission Application. It takes about 10 minutes to complete. There is a $15 admissions fee which will be applied to your student account when you submit your application. You can choose to pay now or later but will not be admitted until the admissions fee is paid. At the end, you will receive a list of instructions to complete your admission.
  2. Take the COMPASS. The COMPASS is computer based evaluation designed to identify your start level in reading, math, and writing. There is a $15 placement test fee required prior to testing. If you have completed the COMPASS or college courses that include writing and math, you may not have to take the COMPASS. Submit transcripts or COMPASS scores to the Admission’s Office for waiver consideration for coursework or testing completed at another college. If you intend to transfer credit to CCC official transcripts will be required.
  3. Schedule an appointment with an initial advisor for assistance selecting classes.
  4. Register for courses.
  5. Pay tuition and fees (see cost of attending CCC).

Although CCC has an open admissions policy, our nursing program is a limited entry program. Click here for information.
