Arts & Ideas develops and coordinates with individuals and groups in the arts, heritage, and humanities in order to provide entertaining, educational and diverse performances to the community.

Arts & Ideas primarily draws upon community groups for its programming, including The North Coast Symphonic Band, The North Coast Chorale, The North Coast Big Band, The North Oregon Coast Symphony, The Astoria Music Festival The Astoria Chamber Players and others. Working with these community groups enables our community to enjoy the diversity of programming from which we all benefit. With the College’s vision in mind, we are collaborating with local schools in order to bring in talent that is beyond our individual economic realities — when we join together, we are all able to share in these enrichment opportunities.

Presented in a setting of artistry and education, the Arts & Ideas program provides opportunities for creativity and learning for both artists and audience. The Clatsop Community College Performing Arts Center is a gem of the community, with a seating capacity of 250 and boasting incredible acoustics in a warm, inviting ambience. Arts & Ideas is proud to serve the College’s vision of continuously building an educational community that encourages learning and achievement.
