President's Message

For over 50 years, Clatsop Community College has been creating opportunity and building community from its magnificent location on the north coast of Oregon. And the 2011-2012 academic year promises to be an especially exciting time to be a part of the Clatsop CC experience!

Over the next 4-6 months we will be seeking your participation in CCC's strategic planning process.  What would you like to see Clatsop Community College do over the next 5 years?  How best might we serve this dynamic and unique region of the country? What programs and services are vital to you and the citizens of the north coast?

Your responses to the aforementioned questions will help to shape the priorities for Clatsop CC in the years to come.  We strongly encourage your participation, and we look forward to working together to strengthen the quality of life for our communities.

While our award-winning new buildings and facilities are important for our ability to serve our students and community, what makes Clatsop Community College a special place are the people who work here and the programs they support.

Whether you’re a lower division transfer student just out of high school, a displaced worker seeking retraining, or someone simply looking to quench a thirst for greater knowledge and understanding of self and the world, the people at Clatsop Community College are here for you.

I’m honored to serve as the seventh president of this historic Oregon institution of higher education, and I look forward to working with the students, staff, and members of our community in our quest to create opportunity and build community here at Clatsop Community College.
