From: Caitlin Wright Clatsop Community College Proceeds From Annual Student and Faculty Art Sale Benefit CCC Art Club The Art Club at Clatsop Community College (CCC) would like to invite the community to attend their annual Student and Faculty Art Sale on November 21st, 2008. This year, the sale will take place outside of CCC’c cafeteria, A Taste of Heaven, located on the lower level of Patriot Hall. The cafeteria is ADA accessible from the 16th St. entrance. All purchases may be made with cash or check. Artwork for the sale is donated from CCC students and faculty and this year, the Art Club would like to extend an invitation to the community to participate as well. All mediums are accepted and appreciated and all may donate. Submitted artwork will be accepted November 17th – 19th and may be brought to the CCC Art Center Gallery in Astoria, OR. Proceeds from the sale directly benefit the members of the club by helping to alleviate activity costs—75% of the sale of each piece of art is given to the art club. “Our goal as an art club is to explore the world of art through its various mediums—photography, writing, music, two and three dimensional work. We do this through artistic experiences such as trips to museums and shows, movie nights, speakers, and visits to local art facilities,” says Diane Lane, CCC’s Art Club president. “The Student and Faculty Art Sale is a great way to support the Art Club and ensure that all members are able to attend such activities.” For information regarding the CCC Art Club’s annual Student and Faculty Art Sale, please contact: Diane Lane (503) 325-5833 or ddagmar64@msn.com The CCC Art Club is open to all students and non-students alike.
